Bucher Municipal acquires JHL and PakMor Waste Equipment Australia Pty Ltd

I would personally like to inform you of two exciting opportunities for Bucher Municipal, which I believe will better position us to provide a total waste solution package for the Australian market.

In February 2016 Bucher Municipal acquired J. Hvidtved Larsen (JHL), the technologically advanced Danish manufacturer of truck mounted Vacuum Tanker machines.  JHL presented as an excellent acquisition for Bucher Municipal due to its high quality product portfolio comprising the small CityFlex machine through to the larger FlexLine and RECycler products.  These machines ensure maximum performance at all times; whether the operation requires jetting, sludge removal, water recycling or a combination of all three operations.

From August 2016, the JHL Australian subsidiary, currently headquartered in Sydney, will be integrated into the local Bucher Municipal business.  With the addition of  Vacuum Tankers to our existing Refuse and Street Sweeping product range we are now able to provide Municipalities and Contractors with all of their equipment and after-sales requirements for hard garbage, liquid waste/drain cleaning and street cleansing applications.

In addition to the above we are also delighted to announce that Bucher Municipal will be acquiring PakMor Waste Equipment Australia Pty. Ltd. – the market leader for static and transportable compaction equipment in Australia.   The complementary product range and common customer base will provide Bucher Municipal with excellent growth prospects across Australia and New Zealand.

PakMor was founded by the Crozier family 44 years ago and over the past few decades they have developed the business into one of Australia’s leading suppliers of equipment and services for the bulk waste market.  PakMor currently operates a manufacturing site in Sydney and an after-sales and retail facility in Melbourne.  The entire operations will be integrated into Bucher Municipal in Australia including existing management and employees.   Dean Crozier will continue to serve as General Manager for the PakMor range of products within Bucher Municipal, bringing with him his considerable expertise in the compaction equipment field.

Bucher Municipal is committed to being the leading provider of locally produced equipment for the Australian waste industry with a strong design emphasis on safety, operator functionality, reliability, durability and whole of life cost.  We believe that the acquisition of both JHL and PakMor will provide our customers with an even more comprehensive portfolio of high quality products to fully cater for their waste equipment requirements.

During the integration process we are committed to providing you with our continued service and support.  Should you have any questions in relation to the above please feel free to contact any of our staff or the undersigned.  In the meantime, we look forward to a successful future in the years to come as Bucher Municipal, JHL and PakMor join together to offer the Australian and New Zealand waste industry a first class range of product and services.

Kind Regards

Bucher Municipal
